3herosoft MP4 Video Converter is a video and audio converter. The converter can open a variety of different video and audio formats and convert them to many formats, not just MP4. There are several conversion profiles, which are pre-configured quality and format settings. These are divided into 8 different categories: common video, common audio, iPod, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, PSP, and PS3, and Mobile phones. Each category contains different quality settings for the device selected. In the case of the common audio and video profiles, those allow you to convert files to regular formats.
The application has a standard-looking user interface. There is a video player to preview input files and the right part of the screen shows the files in your queue and the conversion settings. You can convert different files to different formats at the same time.
In my testing, I figured I would use an MKV file to test how well this application could manage them. MKVs are arguably the most complicated files to convert right. 3herosoft MP4 Video Converter couldn't handle them, returning a "Fail" status instantly. Converting from MP4 to MKV worked just fine, although I could notice some pixelation that wasn't there before.
